Kenya: pre-qualified talent for your company, together with AHK Eastern Africa.
On our delegation trip to Nairobi with IHK Nürnberg we entered into a partnership with AHK Eastern Africa, the Delegation of German Industry and Commerce for Eastern Africa. The AHK recruits and qualifies talent in Kenya. DK Zuvis brings the German companies and handles matching, relocation and 12 months of integration support.

The partnership
A government-backed corridor instead of one-off recruiting
Germany and Kenya signed a comprehensive migration and mobility partnership in September 2024. The AHK programme African Skills 4 Germany builds on it: with its project 'Skilled Workers for Germany', the AHK has been supporting German companies since 4 November 2024 in recruiting skilled workers and apprentices from Kenya, funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWE).
For your company this means: you are not working with an anonymous agency abroad, but within a structure backed by Germany's foreign trade network and committed to ethical, transparent mobility.

Sectors
Kenya is more than care
The programme covers four areas. We keep care under CareBridge and place the other sectors through the same corridor.
Care & health
Generalist nursing training and qualified care staff, with care-specific German and recognition support.
Hotels & catering
Kitchen, service, hotel trades. We visited the School of Hospitality at Nairobi National Polytechnic in person.
IT
IT specialists and IT apprenticeships for companies with digital skills needs.
Technical trades
Automotive, mechatronics, electrical, refrigeration and air conditioning: hands-on training, as we saw in the Nairobi workshops.
Training on the ground
We know the Kenyan training system from the inside
In Nairobi we visited Nairobi National Polytechnic: automotive and engine workshops, the Engineering Department, training rigs for refrigeration, air conditioning and pneumatics, and the School of Hospitality. At the Kenya National Qualifications Authority (KNQA) we learned how Kenyan qualifications are classified. This knowledge feeds directly into matching and recognition.
Delegation trip Nairobi 2026
We went there, not just sent an email
Together with a delegation of IHK Nürnberg, we visited AHK Eastern Africa, Kenyan institutions and training centres in Nairobi. The pictures show the stations of the trip.

CareBridge · Care
Care in Germany: the gap is growing
Care facilities across Germany compete for a shrinking applicant market while demand rises demographically. CareBridge is our answer for care: the same 4-phase system as in every sector, adapted to the specific requirements of care.

Care specifics
What is different in care and how we solve it
B1/B2 requirements
Care demands robust language skills, for handovers, documentation and conversations with relatives. Our candidates arrive with certified B1/B2 and care-specific vocabulary.
Recognition
We manage the recognition process for school and professional qualifications, including translations, assessments and communication with authorities.
Practical guidance
We brief your practice instructors interculturally and remain the contact throughout the training, so instruction never fails because of communication.
Vocational school
Care school vocabulary is trained in Kenya already; after arrival we coordinate with the nursing school and offer parallel language coaching.
The process
The same 4-phase system, with care-specific German
CareBridge follows the DK Zuvis system exactly: select with purpose, qualify linguistically and culturally, place with legal certainty, support for 12 months. The difference lies in the content:
01 · Select
Selection with a focus on care aptitude: motivation, resilience, prior experience in healthcare.
02 · Qualify
German up to B1/B2 plus care vocabulary: personal care, documentation, handover, emergency communication.
03 · Place & relocate
Visa, recognition procedure and training contract with the facility, coordinated from one source.
04 · Arrive & stay
12 months of integration support with a care focus: shift work, practical guidance, nursing school.
For companies & facilities
Cooperation model
The Kenya corridor is being built up. Companies and facilities across Germany can already register for the next cohort. The intro call clarifies needs, sector, timeline and recognition paths.

The AHK recruits and qualifies the talent in Kenya. DK Zuvis brings the German companies and handles matching, visa and entry, and 12 months of integration support in Germany. You have one contact with us for the whole journey.
Certified B1 before entry, target B2, supplemented by care-specific vocabulary: handovers, documentation, conversations with residents and relatives. We prove the level with official certificates, not self-assessments.
We organise the recognition process: translations, certifications, communication with the competent bodies. No additional administrative burden arises for the facility, you receive a clear status report per candidate.
The same principles as in the entire DK Zuvis system: employer pays without exception, language training with official certificates instead of crash courses, and 12 months of integration support after arrival. As a frame of reference we follow the WHO Global Code and the 'Fair Recruitment Care Germany' seal.
We only name binding time windows once language level and visa situation support them, no optimistic promises that later collapse. In the intro call we place your needs within the current cohort plan.
Let's talk about your open apprenticeships.
30 minutes, confidential, non-binding. We assess your situation and find possible solutions together.
