DK·Zuvis

Services · The DK Zuvis system

An integrated talent acquisition system instead of one-off staffing.

Placement rarely fails at the selection stage, it fails through poor language quality, missing cultural preparation and missing support after arrival. That is why DK Zuvis works in four connected phases: whoever starts with us is accompanied from the first German lesson in Cameroon into the first year of training or through to the completion of the apprenticeship.

We work with

  • Small and medium-sized companies in the skilled trades and industry

  • Care facilities

  • Chambers and guilds as multipliers

Typical starting situations

The companies that come to us have usually tried a lot already. These are the five situations we hear most often:

  • Unfilled apprenticeships despite ads, fairs and training bonuses.

  • Applications from international candidates without a reliably assessable German level.

  • Visa processes that nobody in-house masters and that cost months.

  • Drop-outs in the first year, usually for personal rather than technical reasons.

  • No point of contact when things get difficult between apprentice, vocational school and company.

The four phases in detail

Select with purpose

The starting point is your needs analysis: which trades do you want to fill, how many positions, with which requirements for prior education? Only when this profile is set does the search begin, not the other way around.

In Cameroon and Kenya our team runs structured selection processes: we check school-leaving qualifications and records (many candidates hold a technical baccalaureate) and conduct motivation interviews and competency assessments. We hold information events at educational institutions and community network partners.

Services

  • Needs analysis at your company
  • Requirements profile per trade
  • Structured pre-selection on site
  • Transparent candidate profiles with video introduction
  • Digital meeting company ↔ candidate

Result: Well-matched candidates instead of anonymous application piles.

Qualify linguistically & culturally (IVTIE)

The heart of the system. Our candidates complete the full curriculum aligned with the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR) from A1 to B2 at our partner language school IVTIE in Cameroon, with official exams (Goethe, ÖSD, telc, ECL), administered by a team with over 100 years of combined experience in German as a foreign language.

In parallel, integration courses cover living and working in Germany, authorities, work culture, the dual system and vocational school. Add trade-specific German, a language café for free speaking practice, German cinema, a video library and a library for everyday immersion. With us, Germany begins not at the airport, but in the classroom.

In the modules on authorities, work structures, culture and values we work with real-life case stories: actual situations from companies, vocational school and everyday life through which candidates work through typical decisions.

Services

  • Full-time language training A1–B2
  • Official certificate exams
  • Exam preparation
  • Job-related technical German
  • Civic knowledge & intercultural training
  • Continuous progress reports to the company

Result: Apprentices who can follow vocational school from day one.

Place & relocate with legal certainty

Once company and candidate have found each other, we take over the formal path: application management, training contract, visa for in-company vocational training, embassy appointments, translations and certifications, flight and arrival planning.

Your company receives a clear timeline with checklists and we coordinate with the immigration office and the embassy. You don't need to know a single legal paragraph; you only need to know when your apprentice arrives.

Services

  • Application documents & contract support
  • Visa management for in-company vocational training
  • Coordination with authorities (immigration office, embassy)
  • Entry and arrival planning
  • Transparent status report per candidate

Result: A plannable arrival instead of months of uncertainty.

Arrive & stay (integration support)

Placement does not end at the airport, that is where an equally important part of our work begins. Most drop-outs of international apprentices happen due to integration problems and loneliness. That is why we support apprentice and company for a full 12 months or through to completion, in a structured way.

Services

  • Pick-up & first week (registration, bank account, insurance, SIM, public transport)
  • Support with finding housing
  • Onboarding meeting at the company
  • Training-parallel language coaching towards B2+
  • Vocational school support
  • Monthly check-ins with apprentice and company
  • Language café & cultural meetings on site
  • Dedicated contact person, also in crisis situations

Result: Stable training relationships instead of costly drop-outs.

Frequently asked questions

  • Classic agencies hand over profiles and disappear after the commission. We train our candidates ourselves through the partner language school IVTIE, know each person personally for months and remain responsible for 12 months after arrival, with monthly check-ins with apprentice and company. When something goes wrong, you don't call a hotline; you call the person who has known your apprentice since their first German lesson.

  • At least B1 with an official certificate (Goethe/ÖSD/telc) before entry, with B2 as the target. You receive the original certificate and on request a video call with your candidate so you can judge for yourself. We don't accept self-assessments like 'good spoken and written German' ourselves, so we don't ask you to either.

  • From first contact to arrival: 4–8 months if the person already holds B1/B2; 18–26 months when starting from A1. The biggest variable is the wait for an embassy appointment (currently 8–16 weeks).

  • If an apprentice leaves during the probation period for reasons outside the company, we provide a free replacement from our pool. The details are fixed transparently before the contract is signed.

  • All recruitment, training and placement costs are borne by the company. Candidates incur no costs, following the ILO 'Employer Pays' principle. How visa fees, flights and housing are allocated in detail is put in writing before the contract is signed.

  • A manageable amount: you sign the training contract, support the housing search where possible, appoint an in-company mentor and take part in two onboarding meetings. We structure the rest: authorities, vocational school, language coaching, check-ins. Your effort concentrates on what only you can do, good training.

  • No. Employer-pays principle without exception: no placement fees, no hidden costs, no debt relationships. Candidates who have to go into debt to be placed are under a pressure that poisons integration from the start. More on our Fair Recruitment page.

  • We help you review suitable federal and state programmes (including ESF Plus). Whether and how much applies depends on the individual case, we clarify that transparently in the intro call.
