DK Zuvis was not designed on a drawing board but born from a phone call: a Thuringian company was desperately looking for apprentices and found no one. The question 'Why not international, but done properly?' first became a language school in Cameroon, then a placement system, then a company.
Founding story
The beginning
'Apprentices wanted', a company that has been unable to fill positions for years asks for help. Research shows: the problem is not a lack of interested people worldwide, but a lack of serious preparation.
10/2023
Instead of trading profiles, we build qualification: a full A1–B2 curriculum, official exams, integration courses.
2024–2025
Pilot cases like Douglas, today a chef apprentice at DEHOGA Erfurt, validate the system end to end: from selection to the first day of work.
11/2025
The German structure for placement, visa management and integration support, based in Weimar.
Vision
More cohorts at IVTIE, exam centre cooperations, technical German for further trades.
Partnerships with SMEs, chambers and guilds across Germany, quality before volume.

Founder & managing director
Maîtrise in German studies (Univ. Yaoundé), École Normale Supérieure Yaoundé, Master of Public Policy (Willy Brandt School, Univ. Erfurt). Long-standing teacher of German as a foreign language, 10 years of professional integration of migrants and refugees in Thuringia. Founder of IFPEI/IVTIE (2023) and DK-Zukunftsvision Consulting (2025).

35 years of German as a foreign language, MA in German studies. At IVTIE responsible for what exams don't measure: speaking confidently in real life.
Listening & reading · ÖSD and Goethe certificate expert
31 years of German teaching, MA in German studies. Knows the Goethe and ÖSD exam formats from decades of practice and prepares for them specifically.

21 years of German teaching, BA in German studies. Runs the language café and the integration course 'Living and working in Germany'.

Delegation trip Kenya 2026
Founder Lea Maffengang travelled to Nairobi with a delegation of IHK Nürnberg. At AHK Eastern Africa, the Delegation of German Industry and Commerce for Eastern Africa, we entered into a partnership: the AHK recruits and qualifies talent in Kenya through its programme African Skills 4 Germany, DK Zuvis brings the German companies and handles matching, relocation and integration.
